I had been trying to get my shift off all week for this sat because of the wedding. Nobody would do it, so i decided to switch shifts with someone who was on call that day. This means that i have to call in between 12 and 1 to see if they need me that night. This was definitely better than having a regular shift. So i get to the wedding and 20 minutes before it starts i remember to call in...late. Its 1:40, i call AJ's, and they tell me to be at the restaurant at 4:30. I had to tell the chick no. There was no way i was going to miss Josh's wedding for work.
So i get to work today and walk into the main station and look at the server sheet for the day. I'm not on it. One of my managers pulls me into the office and tells me that i am suspended for 1 month. A whole freaking month of no work. Its not like i have a car to pay for or anything...
