So Christmas.
In the end, it wasn't the disaster I feared it was going to be. All the missing parcels, bar one present for me, turned up on Christmas Eve and we managed to get them all wrapped in time. Then I finished the day watching "The Polar Express".
Christmas Day itself was lovely. I started the morning off by waking up and listening to The Cumberbatch in the "Cabin Pressure Christmas Special" which was a total delight. Then for the rest of the day well..my family and I didn't rush through anything at all. In fact, we didn't open the majority of our presents until the late afternoon.
Speaking of presents...I got some books that I wanted, I finally now own a copy of the Robert Downey Junior "Sherlock Holmes" film ( I have no idea why it's taken me this long to actually have the DVD of it, considering how much of a fan of the film I am but there you go!) and some other bits and pieces.
However, my favourite bestest present and the one that made me squee the most, was the audiobook "Sherlock Holmes: The Rediscovered Railway Mysteries & Other Stories", read by our very own Cumberbatch! I've only listened to the first 2 stories so far but god I love it! I don't want to spoil the stories for those that haven't listened to them yet, so I'll just say that Story 2, "The Conundrum of Coach 13" = American Accent FTW!!!!
*sighs happily*
Seriously, just when I thought that I couldn't adore the man anymore than I already do.....
Have I mentioned how I love his audio stuff? LOL
