Somewhere between Here and There
Ok, so I'm almost done packing! pretty much anyway. It still doesn't seem like I'm leaving tomorrow. It's exciting because I know its going to be SO awesome to be there. It's saddening because it means closer to the time my sister is leaving me to go to Tanzania for a year, and it is really going to be so different without her! I'll miss you pollo grande. It's good/bad because that means school is closer to starting back. It's depressing because that means I have to wake up at 4:30a.m. to leave my house for a twelve hour drive hehe. It's wonderful because I get to serve with the most amazing people! hopefully I will come back spiritually refreshed.
so really I can't wait. the good definitely outweighs the bad. change is inevitable.
speaking of being spiritually refreshed, here is one of my favorite prayers that has always been of help to me in my down times...
O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life.
O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord.
