This and That

Made my most awesome SL discoveries yesterday -- while I was at the International Space Museum (where I learned that by SL standards I am 6 feet tall, which makes everyone else ubertall, as Katja is one of the smaller AVs in world)  someone directed me to the MST3K theater, where they show the movies on a regular basis, and from there to the totally awesome Star Trek Culture Museum and the Star Trek Science Museum, where I rode a Borg cube through hyperspace and visited George and Gracie in the bay.   And later danced with a Norwegian guy at the new Caribbean Breezes jazz club.  All in one afternoon.   And I am officially a sick addicted person -- I bought a new laptop Friday that has an nVidia GeForce Go 6150 card so that I can continue to play once we are all required to go to the new version, which won't let me squeak through anymore with my Intel card.  Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it!

Still waiting to hear about my final project proposal; I can't register for fall until I get a passcode.

Dinner last night was Sauteed Pork Tenderloin medallions with a red wine vinegar, "warm spices" and raisin sauce, with scalloped potatoes and the very lovely 2004 Imagery Pallas organic Cabernet Sauvignon.  Glad I bought three bottles -- two in the cellar to hold, and can't get any more!
