This and That

We saw Wild Hogs last night, good fun.  John McGinley (Dr. Cox) does a bit as a cop that is fantastic.  Unfortunately the theater was having an issue with the focus -- the whole screen would be out of focus, then just the right, then the left, then all in focus, back and forth.  It was okay for a section that was all shot in the same place, and then as soon as they left there it went out of focus again.  Folks were getting up and going to ask for focus, at one point a guy stood up and yelled, "Focus!" but I don't know what the problem was.  When we left I found a manager and expressed my disappointment -- I now have three free admission tickets for the theater -- no restrictions, no deadline.  Pays to insist on your rights!

Dinner last night was asparagus quiche and salad, with the 2005 Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc/Viognier blend.  This is our house white -- it has been very consistent!

Spent about two hours in Second Life today -- still mostly shopping.  Have found a SL blog and met some folks who would be interested in shopping with me some time, so I don't have to go by myself!. Got a swimsuit today, can't wait to get to the beach.  This is a big deal for me -- as a fair-skinned Scandinavian I don't spend a whole lot of time in the sun.  Katja, however, will be able to hang out and maybe even play some beach volleyball.  I wonder if I should have her bring a towel, and will I need to get her a beach tag?

If anyone is paying attention, NCU Chapel Hill won the ACC this afternoon, and the Canes lost in a shootout.

And now back to my Art Society Board Speakers Bureau presentation update.  We have a training tomorrow on the Temples & Tombs exhibit, which opens April 15.   I'm going to be taking over the Speakers Bureau as soon as Marty makes her resignation official.
