For all of my homies Stateside, if you have a TV I highly recommend you watch tonight's
Frontline on PBS,
which is all about the U.S. government's domestic spying program. I'm not sure what's scarier: the fact that we really don't know how much exactly the government is spying on us, or the fact that the Congress doesn't know and doesn't seem to care.
This, coupled with my just having listened to This American Life's amazing
show about Guantanamo Bay prisoners and Habeas Corpus, I can't say I'm feeling too confident in the U.S. government's commitment to our civil rights.
