WHY I WANT TO MARRY AN ENGINEER ^^
Before I get to the entry about AGM and handing over and the whole 'coming full circle' cliche, I thought it would be good to round up this shit (school) week. I have 2 whole days of 'full throttle' before I get busy with my next task - NUS-DBS ICC! And okay, NO I'm not as capable as my boyf to be representing NUS and Singapore and compete against 11 other international schools. I'm just going to be an ALL-IMPORTANT ambassador to the FINNISH team! (Whom btw I have checked out on FB, much to the eye-rolling of Kwek, and safe to say I won't be disappointed!! LOL @candchong FYI!! Don't get jeluz. I promise to shareeee hehe!)
Okay yes, so in all seriousness, I REALLY need to get all my submissions done before Sunday comes. Raahhhh STRESS :/
So this week was a very bad week school-wise, that is. Ironically so, because it's the week that I officially hand over! (Btw, stepping down is really a rather awesome feeling, although I admit that I did think the whole 'burden off your shoulder' feeling would be more pronounced than this :/) I didn't go for a tutorial because I wasn't in the mood to, and basically felt quite unprepared for classes this week. FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T EXPLAIN :/ I probably had this mentality that my long weekend begins on Thurs and yeah, long weekends always make people feel that the holidays are here, but NO people, they aren't! But ya, as if holidays mean anything in Uni -.-
Onto something more random: I saw this on FB today and it gave me a good laugh in spite of the bad day that I was having. Girls, please read!
Why you should marry an Engineer Let me tell you why girls should eventually marry an engineer over a Law, Management, Arts or Medical School Graduate. He has three distinct advantages over the rest of the graduates.
Advantage 1: Secure lifestyle
An engineer boyfriend can provide you with a secure lifestyle. At 27 years old, an engineer probably has a respectable, stable job that gives him a high income to own a car, invest, have a comfortable life, and get married and buy a house too.
Law graduates are still working as a lowly apprentice in law firm.
Most management graduates have just failed on their first business plan.
The arts graduate is still looking for a job.
And the medical school graduate is still living in a hospital.
Advantage 2: Unmatchable industriousness
An engineer boyfriend will dedicate an unimaginable amount of his time and effort to understand you. Engineers strain really really hard to understand their work. You can believe that they will try really really hard to understand women too, just like how they understand their work, once they believe that you are the one. So even if they don't understand you initially, they will keep on trying. Even if they still do not understand, they will figure out the correct method to keep you happy (e.g. buy diamond ring = 1 week's worth of happiness.) And once they find out the secret formula, they will just keep on repeating it so that the desired results appear.
Unlike the Lawyer who will argue with you.
The Management graduate who will try to control your spending, The Arts graduate who will 'change major'.
And the medical school graduate who will operate on you.
And you know what, it's really so easy to make engineer s believe that You are the 'one'. Say that you like one of their project and they will be hooked to you forever.

Let me first tell you what is wrong with the rest of the others - The lawyers will lie about everything.
Management graduates will cheat your money.
The arts graduate will flirt, and you probably just look like another cadaver to the medical school graduate.
Your engineer boyfriend is either too busy to have an affair, and even if he does, he is too dumb to lie to you about that. Hence, an engineer is the most secure boyfriend that you will ever find - rich enough, will keep on trying to understand and please you, has no time for affairs, and too dumb to lie to you. plus they r cooler than the others.
I thought it was pretty damn true! At least for my case in point la ;) I know I used to bitch (and still do, FINE.) about how engineers are so toot and boring and tiong-like, but somehow I knew I look for people like that. Because they somehow complement the crazy and irrational in me, which I have thus far, proven to be true. So yes, I told Kwek to read this because the "buy diamond ring = 1 week of happiness" IS VERY TRUE. Hahahaha they are so mathematical it is quite funny.
So anyway, DBS's next week and for all that he has put in and given up so far, I really WANT him to make it to the Top 3. Because I know he'll be disappointed if he doesn't :/ So, I managed to drag him OUT OF SCHOOL for dinner just now because unbeknownst to him, (apart from un-merring myself) I just wanted him to chill pill before he goes full throttle this weekend. And since I can't help him in any tangible way, I promise to leave him alone and be the most supportive gf ever ^^ So, dinner was a simple hawker fare (WHICH COST US $15 WTH) and we managed to squeeze in some hand-holding time. Please do well - we're all already very proud of you! ♥
OGAY time to sleep! The fogeys are away on their 2nd honeymoon - 21 years later AWWWW! - and so the 3 of us are home alone with Auntie :( 1st night only and I'm already missing them! I miss my Papa's nightly jibes about how huge my backside is, and how he always (most of the time anyway) stays up to open the door for me, because I've been coming home SO late and I'm lazy to dig for my keys in my bag. MER! Really hope they have fun in London and Paris! :))
