our first flea!
When you have 3 people with many wrong buys and clothes that we don't want to wear for a 2nd time, what do you do? Gather your clothes and go to a flea market! Renting a stall is actually quite cheap, if you split the cost among 3 people. So, since Jer and I were already intending to visit fleaflyflofun (as buyers haha), we thought, WHY NOT sell our ware instead?! I mean, since making money >> spending money?! Okay, sometimes only hehee.
So, after a busy Friday with a slew of meetings in school, I was shagged MAX. Thank God Papa came to get me and Rui from school, and then by the time we rounded up the entire Tan clan, we were home 1.5 hours later -_- Packed my stuff for sleepover at Haiying's, and off I was! Excited please :D Arrived at her doorstep pulling a luggage, an Ikea stool and laptop in hand - guess how just-got-kicked-out-of-the-house that made me look.
As with all sleepovers, we talked until we KO-ed at 4ish, which was a bad idea cos I was the last to wake up the next morning -_- But luckily for HY's parents, who gave us a lift to the F1 Pit Building, with all our luggages, clothes rack and all the paraphernalia.
All in all, business was brisk only at certain (predicted) times of the day, but slow the rest. But given it was our first time, I think we all did well! Broke even fast enough and made a decent profit :) I am really a horrible person at the other end of a bargain - I think I fare better haggling prices as a buyer than as a seller. Which actually shouldn't be the case, since I can comprehend the psyche of the buyer, no? Okay, whatever! I'm glad I got rid of certain stuff. Conclusion of the day: we need a second flea hahaha.

Alright, I think we're coming back and doing this again next year. Or for that matter, whenever the next flea comes up. By then, I think we would have acquired enough ware to sell again! o.0 I have engaged my personal bangla who better be nice enough to carry our racks and luggages heehee. The 3 of us came to another conclusion that having a guy around really makes things so much easier. When HY's dad came to help us pack up, he dismantled the rack in ONE minute flat, something we took 5 minutes to fumble around and finally assemble. So, hopefully by the next flea, we'll have THREE guys to help us okay! ;) ;)
