good karma day
Today, it was a good (karma) day! :)
It was drizzling heavily after school and as you know, I don't bring an umbrella around - just a bad habit that I can't kick lah. So I was standing at the traffic junction, cursing under my breath at why the green man is taking so long to appear. Then suddenly I heard this pair of Cantonese-speaking ladies saying that they should shelter me from the rain, cos I was damn poor thing! So I turned around to see if they were really referring to me (cos I understand what they are saying what), and they went on in Chinese about why I don't have an umbrella, the rain so heavy blahblah. Aiyo I was SO touched! I see humanity in strangers! In Singaporeans! Even if it was just to cross the road, they still bothered to extend a helping hand like that! Aiyo so touched. They still held my hand and walked!! Gosh.
Then cos I was going to the ATM machine which was in the opposite direction from where there were heading, they still sheltered me there. And I talked to them in Cantonese and I found it so endearing that three complete strangers could be engaged in such a kind act. I was really very touched and thanked whoever up there for blessing me in meeting such nice people on a random Monday afternoon :) Thought it deserved a mention here!
Hopping along on the way home cos I was in such a good mood (I have been in a good mood for the past few days!), I reached home and SAW AN ENVELOPE FOR ME. (I get excited whenever I see a letter for me k.) No source and I was like, bloody hell another promotion/advertisement?! I ripped it open and OMG, okay I got the scholarship. !!!!! I can't believe they still want me after I said without hesitation that I would choose Law over this scholarship anytime. Looks like the only thing I can do in my life is to ace interviews. Okay, what a loser ability -.-
So I read that huge parcel, and got confused and pissed that I have to attend compulsory OBS camp whatever (I don't hate camps, but I hate things that are compulsory. Like, OMG gimme a choice can.), and blah. And then my father said I should have applied overseas. I'm like, OH HI THANKS! For telling me one year late. But LOL inconsequential lah. So now the question is, TO ACCEPT OR NOT TO ACCEPT??? Opinions pls thanks :)
Thanks for giving me one week to accept or reject, and THANKS the other Unis for not getting back to me. GRR %e$@$#!
And I went for a night run! LOVE it :) After taking some 4-hour pig nap and consuming much beer, I decided I better get my lazy arse off the bed and run or something. And then I came back and talked to my students online! Moreover, today was SUCH a good day at work - brunch twice over and free somemore! And my student gave me a Farewell card! And I so ungratefully-sounding and unglamourously immediately replied, "But I'm not leaving yet what!" :DD
I am so happy today! And I seriously need to check my guts. Like, I need to stop being so daring, although this 'daring' is a largely subjective term.. So.
