nick and norah

Today was a great day spent with family and friends, doing things that I love the most. Except that the end of the day was marred by my less-than-satisfactory SATs results. Oh well.

I first went shopping (or rather supplies shopping) with Mummy and Yima at City Plaza. If you don't know wth this is, I'm telling you this place IS in Singapore and it's at far-flung Geylang. (Far-flung cos anywhere beyond Bugis is like Malaysia to me.) I won't say it's a gem-find, but after figuring out the prices and doing some mental calculation, we sure did feel like suckers walking around. That's the way the world works! Consumerism is scamerism.

And then I went to meet Yinwei who overslept till THREE and missed Nick & Norah so we had to catch it at some (I hate) Lido. Nick & Norah is like another Juno, and furthermore Michael Cera appears in both. It was so typical indie film but there's something really quite nice about it sometimes! The humour is so witty and sarcastic, and I never found gays so enderaring before. :)

Sorry, no double Ds!! LOL.

We then walked around and soaked in the X'mas atmosphere - when you're not in a rush, walking and squeezing through throngs of people is actually quite fun. Then we chanced upon the RJC Choir performing outside Ngee Ann and we saw Jac, and so we waited for her and D and we headed on home.

OMG WHAT A LONG DAY. And it just HAS to be spoilt by SATs. Okay lor. I'm trying to zen it out and tell myself it doesn't really matter. Does it? I have no bleeding idea, but to say I'm disappointed is a pretty gross understatement. OH WELL. Take heart, TYL.

Leaving isn't quite the same, he said to me, as running away.
