a great start to the Rat year

So CNY came and went by. At least the first 2 days of it. 2 more days, and it's back to dreaded/undreaded school.

First day of CNY is for family - direct families. So we did our usual round of visiting, where the routine hasn't changed one bit these few years. I met up with some of my second cousins and seconds aunts/uncles whom I see probably only once a year, and it was quite nice catching up. Although our conversations can usually only go that far, but when there is a blood bond tying you together, somehow the conversations never turn out awkward.
This is one part of CNY that I love alot - nothing fancy, nothing OTT, just everyone sitting around a table in the patio, drinking tea and eating cookies, and laughing away. There wasn't even a need to take out cards or mahjong to entertain ourselves. Nice :)

The 2nd day was pretty much the same, and maybe a little more fun. It was Wii day after all! :) And we will get to see Matt and Co. after how long of not doing so. We must go on another year-end holiday together this year!
Okay besides that, we just did our usual rounds of visiting, and settled for Wii in the evening. Then because we didn't want to go home and eat disgusting porridge for dinner, we decided to drop by on Ah-Por since we were in the vicinity. And when we got there, we saw our relatives from Pa's side, people who we have alrdy seen yesterday! I was very happy that these people have got the heart to visit Ah-Por, especially after my grandfather left.
You know, as I watch her being so feeble and alone, it really hurts but there's like nothing I can do except to visit her every week. But I guess there's also more that I can do right? Right.

Then we wound up having dinner at Bukit. YAY Indian food! OMG I loooovve Northern Indian food :D Okay and became very damn full. Then end of Day 2 YAY.
CNY is officially tiring and sleep-inducing at times.

Okay I think that kinda sums up CNY visiting. Tomorrow the classmates are coming, and I'm still unsure of my Sunday plans. But actually I'm not too keen on going out much, cos I looked at my planner last night and almost peed in my pants cos SEA Term Paper is due next Thursday! And I haven't read a single damned reading. GEEGEEEXEX.

Alright I need to go to bed soon! Survivor just now was pretty interesting! I like the new concept of Fans VS Favourites :)
And I'm still assessing which posts I should make public and which I should lock. Locking is quite fun actually. I think I'm becoming a more private person.  Ohwell whatever. Custom-locking soon :)
