Hellloooo LJ! Is anyone still out there??? I have been pitiful at updating and won't even attempt to get caught up--I've had a wonderful few months, with tons of traveling, mostly to cons, and then a lot of the same-ol', same-ol' in real life. Mostly I am popping my head in because I've been going through a pretty horrendous dry spell with writing for...well over a year now. I hadn't written a word since the Spring round of spn_masquerade and then suddenly I wrote 12,000 words in one night and finished a story I had been stuck on since 2013, so that felt pretty good and I wanted to share it with...anyone who would listen, basically. XD

Title: Do Androids Dream?
Fandom: Supernatural
Characters/Pairings: Sam/Dean
Rating: NC-17 for explicit sexual content, violence, alcohol use, and language
Word Count: 16,398

Summary: AU: Sam has been training to be a blade runner most of his life, ever since a group of rogue replicants killed his mother in an attempt to kidnap him as a baby. Now he's one of the top officers in the L.A. Police Department's Blade Running Unit, with a reputation for being ruthless when retiring rebellious androids. Problem is: Sam's never been as comfortable killing replicants as he pretends to be; growing up with Dean as his primary caretaker and a valued member of the family has left Sam with a weak spot for androids that he knows might get him killed one day. Knowing that doesn't stop Sam from loving Dean, or from wishing his replicant was as human as he acts. Now he's on the trail of Azazel, the yellow-eyed android responsible for ruining his life, but the closer he gets to retiring Azazel and putting an end to his days as a blade runner, the more he learns that there might be no turning back for him and Dean. (Loosely based on Blade Runner)

Even more important than the fact that my failboat ass finally wrote something is that the thing I wrote comes with beautiful, beautiful art by blythechild. The art IS pretty spoilery for the end of the story, so if you plan to read it, I recommend looking at it after the fic. If you DON'T plan to read it, go look at the art anyway!! ESPECIALLY if you are a fan of Blade Runner. It captures the atmosphere so perfectly and is truly better than I deserve. ♥ ___ ♥

I also wanted to mention here since I have not yet that I am currently findraising for the DC AIDS Walk, which gives money to Whitman Walker, a local clinic that does outreach, testing, and care for HIV & AIDS positive DC residents, especially those in low-income neighborhoods. It's a pretty important cause to me as this clinic helped my family a lot when my dad was sick, and fandom has helped me raise a ton of money for them over the last few years. If you are able and interested in helping reach my target (which I am almost at!!), you can find my page here:

That is all I have for now!! Hopefully I will be back in soon with some Halloween fic, I guess that will show whether I've actually dug myself out of this writer's block hole or if the above was just a fluke. In the meantime, I really hope you all have been well (or as well as anyone can be in 2016...what a year, yeesh). I keep up with many of you on Twitter but do really miss my LJ friends. :( TELL ME HOW YOU ARE DOING!!

once again elisa is the table douchebag, those brothers have sex, i ship it!, the internet is eating my life, oh fandom, public entry, gay savant, here let me write you a novel, fanart-monster!cherie strikes again
