Hello, lovely livejournal friends. Long time, no post. Not gonna make up excuses or promise to do better--I was in a depressive rut re: fandom for the better part of 2015 and I hope it's over but maybe it won't be, anyway, as you can tell, I've been a joy to be around and you're all very lucky I was AWOL. <33333 You already know my thoughts on this bigbang thing, so I won't bore you with my repetitive blah-dee-blah. Instead, let's focus on how much writing you have done! That is A LOT of writing. Gosh, I feel so unproductive next to you. I think I did, like, 9 art things last year, haha. Not even double digits! *hangs head in shame* Also, I was surprised to see how much of your stuff I haven't read yet? How?? (MERMAID JARED, EEK!) I'm so terrible about keeping up with all the awesome stuff people manage to pump out every year, argh. Among my many goals for the year--writing and commenting more, etc--simply catching up needs be a major one, I think. And I hear you on doing fewer challenges. Mostly because I have a lot of random ideas I never get around to due to some deadline or other, and I just wanna run amok for a while, arting whatever the heck I feel like, when I feel like it, and see how that goes. Resisting temptation is gonna be super hard, though.

ANYWAY. tl;dr If this is what failure looks like, I need to reevaluate my whole life. ♥

It's SO HARD in a huge fandom like this to keep up with all the amazing fic and art that gets posted!!!

I hope selfishly that you'll still do some challenges, but I also cannot wait to see you unleash some of the ideas you have tucked into that brilliant brain of yours!! Your art blows me away, as you well know. But yeah, I'm in the same place as you. It's so easy to SAY I'm going to sign up for fewer challenges, but when sign ups open for something and all the cool ids are doing it and I JUST WANNA BE A COOL KID. Lettuce see if I hold up. XD
