I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end, it didn't really matter.
Hey all,
This is just a quick note to let everyone know that, yes, I am aware I did not post my spn_j2_bigbang yesterday.
I really thought that I could manage the first day of posting despite the upcoming move, because I was judging how much time this move would take based on previous moves. Well, as it turns out, it's a completely different animal to move into your own apartment without roommates or adults to set everything up for you, and there is a lot more involved than I ever realized. So many things to buy when your roommates owned everything (like, I knew I needed to buy a baking sheet, but ask me about realizing after you put your dinner in the oven that the oven mitts were your roommates'...). So much to set up (when they tell you to save money by getting the self-install kit instead of having someone come hook things up for you, SPIT FIRE AT THEM). So much to do just to make the place the very bare minimum of livable.
DON'T GET ME WRONG. I still love my little apartment to death. I know I'm going to be very happy once things are settled. But it's taking a lot to get there (I'm still almost entirely packed and living out of boxes).
So anyway, all this is to say: my lovely artist dollarformyname and the gracious mod wendy were very understanding, and I did have to ask for a new date. We will now be posting the fic and art for Sensory Overload on Monday, June 22.
I'm really excited about this one, you guys. It's a really cool idea and I'm liking how it's coming together, and as much as I want to share it right away, a little more time to love on it is going to make it the best story it can be. :D
P.S. This also extends to why I have been shit at commenting on people's posts, replying to emails/comments, and I did see that some of you fine folks tagged me for a fun WIP meme, but I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to do it with everything going on right now.
