Hiiiiii flist! I want to thank you guys so so much for all the sweet birthday wishes I've gotten today! I've been so horrible and absent from LJ lately with how crazy my semester's been that I honestly didn't think anyone would remember me. XD It's such an incredible contrast, after spending so much time on the anti-interaction time suck that is Tumblr to be reminded that there is so much love and community to be enjoyed on LJ. ♥

My birthday has been very calm. It's one of those kind of arbitrary ages (still old enough to drink, still not old enough to rent a car) that are hard to care too much about, lol. My family is having a dinner on Sunday, but wincon is next week (GOD I AM FUCKING DYING OF EXCITEMENT FOR THIS YEAR) so this weekend will mostly be spent doing homework and work so I don't get too far behind in Vegas. :/ So today I...*drum roll* got a haircut and treated myself to McDonald's! #mythrillinglife I really like the haircut, though. :DDD
Although there is less than an hour left in my birthday, I did want to bring something to y'alls attention while people still feel obligated to be nice to me because it's my birthday. As any of you who have been around on my journal for more than a year will remember, every year I do the D.C. AIDS Walk. This year will probably be my last year in D.C. (assuming I am employable in other cities...), so I am trying to hit an all-time personal record and raise $500. I registered last Friday and I AM ALREADY HALFWAY TO MY GOAL!! :D But that doesn't mean I'm not going to be a huge pain in everyone's ass until I reach $500, so here is my first shameless plug: IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE ME HAPPY ON MY BIRTHDAY AND CAN SPARE ANY MONEY AT ALL, I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY SUPPORT. Whitman Walker is a really incredible resource to the D.C. LGBT community, as well as to the unfortunately huge population of adults in D.C. living with AIDS in neighborhoods that are generally too poor to provide adequate support. They did a lot for my family and continue to do a lot for families like mine, so this really means a lot to me--seriously anything at all, no matter how small, that you can spare will go to a great cause. And thank you from the very bottom of my heart to those of you who have already so generously donated.
