Technical Difficulties
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that my poor laptop has finally decided to give up on me, and I am now completely cut off from the world (okay, the internet--SAME THING). If you're wondering where I am, I'm probably crying in a corner because it's midnight and I'm still at work because I am behind on everything thanks to this computer crash. I mean, not that I have been terribly great about posting recently, but I am not going to be commenting/tumbling/ficcing/enjoying my life so much until I get my laptop back, because I have to spend every moment on my work computer catching up on work and school because the semester has only been going for two weeks, but JESUS CHRIST NEITHER OF MY PROFESSORS HAS A REALISTIC CONCEPTION OF HOW MUCH CAN BE READ/DONE IN ONE WEEK. Fucking sucks, because my laptop is old as hell (I got it just before starting college) and I should have seen this coming, but I wasn't planning to replace her until I graduated grad school (I was planning to put my tax return aside for a new laptop, wah wah wah), so I am a little boned as far as budget goes on buying a new one. EIGHT MORE MONTHS, CATHERINE THE GREAT, THAT'S ALL I WANTED FROM YOU. I'll figure it out because I have to, but my point is, I have no idea when that'll be. Just so you know I am not ignoring you/ceasing to care about you/dead if I take a particularly long time to reply to e-mails or something.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THIS ROUND OF salt_burn_porn AND ARE CONSIDERING TAGGING ME, I *BEG* YOU NOT TO DO SO UNTIL I POST FROM MY NEW COMPUTER. I know asking not to be tagged because it's inconvenient goes against the spirit of the challenge, but I have no computer and will have to pass, which I would hate to do.
I had a really amazing Labor Day weekend with ordinaryink, though, and it involved buying a sword at the renn faire (which I wouldn't have done had I known my computer would break, but what the fuck can I do at this point). Maybe I will tell you all about it when I have a computer and five minutes to myself again.
