(no subject)
Happy December :-) It's starting to get all Christmasy, which is good. It's also getting really cold, and that's not good.
Tomorrow is Sunday. Church (advent season = full awesome choir)....a little bit of Sunday shopping....grade papers and make keys and tests, get in a good workout, do some Relay stuff, and wind down the night by watching the Steelers game. Not too bad of a day at all.
Last night I went down to Valerie's house and then we headed over to Dublin, where her friend lives. We had dinner at a Chinese buffet and then watched The Holiday. I had only seen the first half of the movie and really enjoyed the seeing the whole thing this time. We stuck around for awhile afterwards and just chit-chatted.
Today I had a double-date with Steph, her bf Alan, and one of her co-workers Ryan. I think it went well. It wasn't awkward like I expected it to be. Steph said he was really quiet compared to how he is at work. He did the paying and was very polite and all that. He seemed like a fun guy but since he didn't open up a whole lot so the verdict is still out....not sure if there'll be a second date. He's a Bengals fan. I told him that his team was going down tomorrow and I think he didn't like that. Too bad. We had lunch and then went bowling...it was good.....but I definitely didn't have a major attraction or anything fancy like that. Dun dun duh....
Thanksgiving was good. We didn't go back to PA :-( We just had a nice big lunch at my parents house this year. Afterwards I cleaned out the upstairs middle room and then went over to Sarah and Jessee's for awhile. I'm excited for their Random Party :-)
So I took the kids to Columbus State. We left with 19 of them and came back with 19 of them, no one got shot, no one broke or stole anything, and no one used majorly offensive profanity while on the tour, so I would have to say that it was a success. I think they enjoyed the tour more than they expected too. They weren't too excited about the dining hall at first but they got over it real quick. I'm excited to get my pictures developed from the day (yeah, developed....since my digital camera was stolen) Aaaand I got major kudos from my principal and superintendent!
This week is going to go quickly I think. Monday I have a Praxis meeting, Tuesday I have a board meeting, Wednesday I have life group, and hopefully I have Thursday evening free.
I think I'm going to get in my pajamas, pop in a movie and give myself a manicure.
