Vehicle frustration

Ok, so I leave work at my normal time of 4pm and head to my car, or should I say SUV (gas guzzler and environmentally unsafe vehicle which I loathe). As I start the car, and pull down the gear shift, I realize that I am not going anywhere anytime soon. The stupid thing won't budge from the Park mode. After messing with every gadget around, I proceed to pull out the manual which tells me to hit the brake before shifting gears from Park to Drive (DUH). Still nothing. I flag down the security guard in the garage which I am parked to hopefully tell me how simple it is to get the gear shift to work and instead, he decides that he's going to hit on me. Nice. I'm in no mood. Not with a security guard at least. He gets in my car and has no luck either. I then call my husband who works in Sarasota and he has to leave to come get me before the tow truck guy arrives. His boss proceeds to ask him why I can't take care of this myself to which he replies, "because I don't want my wife hitching a ride with a tow truck driver." After calling both a tow truck and the dealership, somehow the guy in the repair shop brings me to tears by telling me there's no way I can get a rental car tonight and it probably won't be covered anyhow under my plan and there's no way he can even look at my car until Monday. Jackass. I love great Customer Service. Did I also mention this was going to be my first night out on my own with no child and no husband? Not going to happen.

My husband arrives and can't seem to figure out what is wrong either, what he does find is that when I backed in, I hit a yellow pole and broke the trailer hitch. So now he's pissed and suddenly everything is my fault. In the midst of all this, my friend calls and leaves a message asking me to meet at Blue Martini. Not going to happen. There is no moral to this story except to stay away from Dodge or possibly anything American made. I know it's a horrible thing to say but they are junk. This gives me a good excuse to go buy my hybrid car. I now know it won't be anything by Daimen Chrysler.

I'm so glad it's Friday...maybe I'll catch a Bill Maher repeat tonight.
