My girlfriend watches football. Not soccer, but real American college football. I have never dated anyone, ever, who watches football and talks to the screen as if the players can hear them. This is ... disturbing to me. Then again, I'm sure Fran has never dated anyone who can't pronounce their TH's properly (e.g. Anthony sounds like Antony) and rarely puts the emphasis on the right syllable when saying 'contribute' (e.g. Sounds like conTRIbute instead of CONtribute). Nevertheless, the important point here is that, oh my god, my girlfriend watches football. That's what I get for having a partner from the South. And, that's what she gets from being with someone from Montreal with a fucked up linguistic background.

Now, I go write my dissertation.
