I think I've finally taste the fruit of my own lazyness. It's sour, d@mn it. Should've prepared sugar to go with it.
The story goes like this. It has something to do with the last ranting. My PC sucks. I don't have (not yet, but thanks to this and other things I seriously planning to get one, like in SOON) my own laptop. Conclusion: I saved all my stuff in USBs.
One of them decided to error-ing itself on Saturday morning. The result? 1.5 GBs of data in over 7000 files with various size from 32 KBs to 25 MBs, all in one folder. Started with FILE0000.CHK to FILE7XXX.CHK.
The files that *used to be* photos, videos, workstuff, music files-lyric-notes, journals, ms-reader files, scans, some (lot) of my writing stuff, whom up until Friday night were safely residing on their own folders, with proper structure & names.
Now they're all one giant big mess.
I'm still lacking sleep from the other day. Sunday night was dedicated to trying to find some of the important files in the jungle mess. I ended up not sleeping at all the night, catching some 1.5 hour on the way to work.
I was pissed. Still is. But, on the same time, I was also grateful that it was *this* USB and not the other. If it was the other, then I'd probably haven't stopped crying right now. This other USB held more of the writing stuff, more pictures, and A-WHOLE-LOT-MORE of the office stuff. Losing that one would be like, erasing two month worth of workload.
Plus one year if data.
Gee, rantings does help.
Apparently, this week is going to be a busy week. I have to bring home stuffs from work to get 'em done. It keeps me from moping on the jungle mess.
Btw, all the Bleach project was on the jungle mess, so it'll be quite a while until I'll be able to get something done...
