chenlay is my ultimate otp but... but.. this... luchen is creeping and leeching its way up to the top. OMFG. this story is just so heartbreakingly kinda realistic and beautiful. It's scary because Jongdae's personality is like mirroring someone I know (except Jongdae here is so annoyingly stubborn thickheaded and stupid hahahahaha. his persistence, irritation and all the defensive mode r like.. stunningly similar wow. it scares me XD)
I was reading on and I just wanted to throw my phone on the wall for being for frustrated with Jongdae. Like I can't even. It's so annoying but it's just makes me in love with his character here. I applaud Luhan in this story. It's kind of sad that Jongdae was kinda a dick in the past (and 70%in the present) Wow. Okay lemmie check and quote back part of the story that left a mark on me.
“Like you’re really having fun,” Lu Han says, and his voice is a little softer. “I like seeing you happy. And your face gets all wrinkled so you look like an old person when you smile; it’s cute.”
ASDFGHHJKL. What are words. WHAT ARE THEY. This is like. Luhan, you are such a sweety. Teasing Luhan is so nice and Luhan is so nice. nice nnicenciencie.
He doesn’t understand all of Lu Han, still stumbling over some of his jokes, but he likes him.

I FELT FOR JONGDAE SO MUCH. I know he is trying and he is just this confused f-ed up little puppy that needs his friends and someone that can get to him. I know he tries so hard but it wasn't trying hard right but he was going left.

“I am not trying to fuck with your feelings, Lu Han,” Jongdae retorts, a bit louder as his frustration mounts. “It’s not a game, and I’m not laughing. But it is a game, I just want to stop playing because right now I’m losing.”
“Well, that must suck for you,” Lu Han spits, jerking back. “Have fun dealing with losing for once.” Before Jongdae can open his mouth and tell him that’s not what he meant though he isn’t sure what he meant now, the door slams shut and Lu Han is gone.
NUUUU BOTH R SUFFERING HERE. Jongdae said it wrongly. i mean can't he even hear what he is actually saying T_T wow. i didn;t know if I wanted to laugh so hard or cry. and LUHAN, he broke. he effing broke and it broke me too. and i just cant comprehend any vocab for this.
“You just-“ Wording this in a way that isn’t rude is difficult, so Jongdae swallows and tries his best. “You’ve just had it easy, always easy.
OH GOD. I WAS TRYING NOT TO PULL MY HAIR OUT OF MY SCALP BECAUSE, i know that sometimes u can think it this way but he mentioned too many times and IM LIKE NO JONGDAE NO ONE HAS IT EASY IN THIS COLD WORLD. T____T
“Because you’re my soul mate?” Lu Han asks, and raises an eyebrow.
“No,” Jongdae says, and keeps his voice firm on that. “I’m not sorry I’m your soul mate. I’m not sorry that you wouldn’t leave me alone at first and tried to make this work.” Lu Han lets out a small scoff at that. “I’m sorry that I spilled coffee on you.” Lu Han lets out a small half laugh, weak but present and the hint of a smile is enough to have Jongdae continuing. “I’m not a pervert trying to feel you up, but I am your soul mate.” He swallows, Lu Han’s eyes soft and his heart too heavy in his chest. “If you still want me to be.”
YES. I WAS DOING SOME VICTORY DANCE in my heart because i couldnt do it at 5 am in the morning. The realisation is like the major stepping stone jd manage to walk pass but not without some really bad bruising. i love how he seemed to mature in thoughts after luhan and i just can't ... all the feels author. all the freaking feels T___T
“I’m thinking about us,” Jongdae told him, honestly.
THE PART WHERE I REALISED HE WASN'T JUST THINKING ABOUT HIM AND IDK WHAT ABOUT HIM because in the past there usually wasn't an 'us' hahahaha i love jongdae here. i really do. i love how he changed for the better. learning from mistakes (too many too much).

my bby is growing up (that was my feeling towards him in this story XD). he finally embraced. FINALLY. LIKE. YEAH. FINALLY.
I LOVE YOU AUTHOR. this rollercoaster ride of emotions is just... a ride that's i'm really really scared to ride. their r/s is so real and scary. yeah. XD i love this story and the characterisation of Jongdae and Luhan. I wanna hug you because thank you for such a wonderful story. <3

Just for reference, Jongdae isn't based on a real person, he's a separate character construction, but I am delighted that you found him so realistic (even if he was annoying as all hell at times). Maybe your friend needs a kyungsoo ;)
He is extremely frustrating, isn't he? I honestly had similar feelings while writing this but, well, he got spun around in the end, didn't he~ Lu Han is probably my favorite but eh~
