Sims, work, FRIDAY!, health - the ususal stuff.
1. HAHA! I got the Sims:OFB to work. Apparently, even the Maxis-created downloads interfere so much with the new expansion pack, that it half-uninstalls the previous expansion pack (which also had difficulty with the extras). I uninstalled Nightlife (which confused the hell out of the machine and actually uninstalled OFB instead, but since Nightlife was half-gone and half-corrupted anyway, it wasn't able to uninstall) and OFB by proxy, reinstalled Nightlife, reinstalled OFB, and made sure to back up my neighborhoods and remove the Downloads folder from the C: drive. Whew. Took a long time and a lot of fiddling around (not helped by the fact that I completely forgot that I have two cd drives, since one works and one doesn't, but they're both still hooked up and officially accessible, and the old drive that doesn't work is D:, and the new one is F:, but shows up as The Sims, not a cd drive....blargh. Thank goodness for Nyte, although I feel like a doofus now), but it works and I'm playing it and I'm happy.
2. Nails are unpinked. :( They are, however, conditioned and need a couple more doses of cuticle oil. I have reinforced them with clear Sally Hansen Diamond Strong. It's great, but not as a base coat; there's so much teflon in it that it tends to peel if the slightest bit of moisture is caught between polish and nail. Usually have to reapply daily to the tips; I'd use Hansen's Double Life Protein Base/Topcoat any day, although as a top coat over everything, the Diamond Strong is cool. With that many layers though, your fingers feel heavy. [/girlybabble]
3. I am not concentrating for work. Bleh. We're awfully behind. I've been highlighting instead of printing, and it's helped a lot. Stupid people can't read post-its. Mainly, stupid J.
4. Nyte didn't go in again yesterday. Hopefully he will go in today and ask about his check. I just remembered that the paycheck I'm getting this week is the one with the holiday in it, and I don't think I get paid for it, so it'll be short some, even with the overtime I worked that week (all of 2.5 hours). I don't think I'll be able to cover both our rent, much less the water bill and my credit card bill as well.
5. Rent was due Wednesday, Saturday at latest. Must not forget.
6. Must get basic supplies; tp, kitty litter, milk, cereal, etc. Blah.
7. I should get my walking in at lunch. It's just so cold out; I want to spend the hour walking, not driving to the mall and walking and driving back. I'm wearing the right shoes for it though.
8. And then I let this sit here until lunch. Go me.
