[So, Wally and Midori have been dating for a few weeks now, but they've been keeping it on the down low because, well, Wally's still kind of getting used to the idea himself, and they basically got together after his fight with Robin, which was possibly the worst timing ever. He's been meaning to tell Rob (and Conner and the rest of the team), but ( Read more... )

[.... Awwww LOOK his pickup lines actually WORKED on somebody awwww Heather is proud of you bro! And therefore applauding.]

[.... And... wow, actually you know what...]

Man, you saved the good ones for her.

Some of those were actually pretty damn clever.

[Heather may not have been a genius, but she enjoyed science in school-- so most of these actually made her grin.]

[OH GOOD a non-awkward reply.]

What can I say? I only use the good ones on the really special ladies.

[Pfffft HEATHER IS PRETTY CHILL, MAN. It's not like you guys were makin' out all over each other or anything. Otherwise she'd absolutely be teasing you about it.]

I can see why. If you busted those out for every occasion, there'd be too much swooning to get anything done.

[SMIRK.]

Sooooo, when's the honeymoon?

[And this is where Wally would be spitting out his drink if he were actually drinking anything. Instead, he just sort of chokes on his own saliva and has a short coughing fit because WHAT.]

[Just... give him a sec to compose himself.]

Um. Anyway.

I better hear that hunky dreamboat signal soon now that I'll be out of commission, you know, having a girlfriend. You have to keep my pickup line legacy alive, man.

Don't worry, if I spot one, I'll wow 'em with that one about unzipping genes and then bask in the radiant sexual attractiveness it grants me.

[LOL.]

That is a good one. And possibly one of the only things biology is good for. [Can you tell he really doesn't like biology. He'll admit genetics are cool, though.]

Not a bio-fan, huh?

What's the matter with it?

[She'd been better at chemistry herself, but she had to admit that was mainly because in biology, there was very little chance of anything exploding.]

Well, one, nothing explodes. [Great minds think alike, amirite?]

Two, it was always more of Advanced Coloring in school, and I can't even remember the experiments we did, if we actually did any. Dissecting frogs, maybe?

I dunno, I guess I just never found an interest in it. Chemistry's always been my passion.

Eh, fair 'nuff.

I always liked chemistry more too, actually. For... pretty much exactly that first reason. [It also just had more opportunities for practical application in real life. LIKE KILLING MONSTERS AND SETTING THINGS ON FIRE.]

Exactly. Explosions make everything more interesting.

If only things would explode in every class, then maybe I wouldn't be so bored all the time.
