Aqualad? Supey? Kid Flash? Batman?

[Oh boy... He's hoping these are just stupid codenames.]

[Congratulations, you're the first voice he hears! Prepare yourself for a novel. Also he's shoving his face full of trail mix as he talks.]

Yeah! You seen any of them? Especially Aqualad, he doesn't do so well out of water for too long. But at least this isn't Bialya, then he'd really be screwed.

Anyway, I'm Kid Flash so you don't need to look for me, coz I know where I am. Well, I can't lose myself is what I mean. I don't actually know where I am. I'm guessing this is some sort of Earth, though? I'm from Earth-16, although that's not exactly common knowledge-but I've got connections inside the Justice League, so I know all sorts of cool stuff.

If I see anyone running around in capes and batsuits, I'll let you know. [Funny joke, bro.]

I don't think this is Earth. We're in a region called Johto, and last time I checked, Earth doesn't have Pokémon.

[And he's totally taking you seriously.]

Thanks, man! I'd check myself but I guess this virtual reality game doesn't recognize superpowers.

I don't think most Earths have Pokemon, but parallel universes are crazy-if this is a parallel universe and not a game. I haven't figured that out yet.

It isn't a game. Pokémon was a game in some people's worlds, but I don't see how we could be stuck inside a game. [But a different world? No problem, right?] I guess it could be some kind of different universe? Or different world, at least.

Yeah, it doesn't. Any powers or special abilities you had back home don't work here.

From what other people have told me, it seems like a parallel universe is the most logical choice. Like some sort of cosmic pocket dimension...

Guess that means I'll just have to get them back. I don't know what the rules of this universe are, exactly, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Cosmic... pocket? [Dude you use some weird terms.]

How would you go about doing that? I don't think anyone's tried getting their powers back before.

Yeah, a pocket dimension. It's like a universe within a universe. So this place is a pocket dimension on a cosmic scale.

Well, I got my powers from an experiment, so I'd just have to recreate the experiment... again.

A universe within a universe. Right. [Like a dream within a dream, right?]

An experiment? You weren't born with them? [COULD THIS GUY REALLY BE A SUPERHERO? No that's just plain weird.]

[That means Pokémon in their Pokéballs are in a universe within a universe within a universe. BRRRMMMM.] Believe it or not-unless you have a better explanation.

Man, if only! Would've made dealing with bullies a lot easier.

[Oh you.]

Bullies?

Was the experiment something you did? [He doesn't know too much about superheroes, so he doesn't know all of the clichés and whatnot. Do forgive him.]

Yeah, I was that geeky science kid in elementary. Not that I'm not still- I just didn't really fit in, and they didn't like that I was smarter than they were. I talked back, but I didn't fight back. Having super speed would have at least allowed me to do that. But thankfully, none of those jerks ended up in my middle school.

Oh yeah, it was me and my genius all the way. Well, I guess it was really thanks to the notes I found in Uncle Barry's journal, but still. I set the whole thing up using my own chemistry set and then BOOM! The speed didn't actually show up until after I got out of the hospital, but it was totally worth it.

Oh. [Kyo feels your pain, except he was never really bullied... just teased about his hair colour and attitude. And instead of just talking back, he'd also beat them up. Oops. There was the whole Sohmas-looking-down-on-him thing, too.]

You went to the hospital... [D'oh.] That's pretty stupid. What if it hadn't worked?

[Yeah. Uh. Awkward. Gonna just keep talking about how awesome his is now.]

But it did. And that's what matters. Besides, my percent error was maybe 0.02%-there's no way it couldn't have worked.
