1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Left North America. Spent a night in the hospital
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept most of them, I lost 20 lbs, travelled, finished my degree, and got a good start of figuring out what I want to do as a career. My resolutions this year are to lose another 15 lbs, get a more stable job, and stop living in my overdraft.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
It was spent at a houseparty on Burnside. Much fun was had.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. My Nana in February.
5. What countries did you visit?
Peru, Ecuador, and Panama. Although I was only in Peru and Panama for a few hours.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
I want to focus more on myself and less on other people. I need to remember to take my alone time when I need it and think about what the hell I'm doing every once in awhile.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Aug 30th I was in a car accident. Also May 21st because that was the day I left for Ecuador (didn't get there until the 22nd)
8. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?
There were a few, finishing my degree after a long 6 years was huge, travelling for the first time, I also made some really hard decisions that I'm proud of myself for doing.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Pretending everything was ok for a long time when it wasn't
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yep, put my face through the windshield of a car. Over 20 stitches and lots of scars.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I didn't buy much, I actually got rid of most of my possessions. I guess my plane ticket? or my no pasa nada necklace I got in Montanita.
12. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, food, travelling... and a lot in the last 2 months has probably going to booze.
13. What song will always remind you of 2008?

14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I wish I spent more time with friends. I've been trying to make up for it since I got back, but I really didn't see many people in the first half of the year

I don't really regret anything I did

30 Rock or How I Met Your Mother
17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, I don't hate anyone

I didn't read many books for fun since I was busy with class. Catch 22 was pretty good
19. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I usually make my muscial discoveries at bumbershoot, but I missed it last year :(
20. What was your favorite film of this year?
I don't think I actually watched any movies that came out in 2008
21. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
24, and I went to see NIN the night before (which was amazing!) and then on my actual birthday I had a few people over to Amanda's and drank and laughed and then went to a couple pubs. Ended thew night curled up on the couch with Hilary watching Predator and Indiana Jones.
22. What kept you sane?
Nothing. I'm pretty sure I was actually insane for part of 2008 :P
23. Who did you miss?
I missed everyone while I was in Ecuador, and missed Ecuador when I came back.
24. Who was the best new person you met?
Tough call. I'm probably going to have to say my new roommate Jen, although I might have met her for the first time in 2007. Honorable mention goes to my friend Yuri in Ecuador who I still talk to on msn. Chad Taylor is pretty cool too :)
25. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
That I should never think that I'm impossible to love. And don't drink and drive.
