My teasing of Stephen was done in jest, and because I know that we are on good enough terms to joke in such a manner.

However, I found myself frustrated with this Christine/Kristine character. Unlike her twin, she seemed to have fallen into the idea that English was the only language that really mattered, reading wasn't something NORMAL folk would do. She hates her job, and seems to me, is a million miles away from Christ.

It's people like her that puts America in such poor lighting. Nobody reads. No, because that would be ridiculous. Texting is all that matters, and movies. But movies can't be too deep - they're just entertainment after all. And to think while being entertained is unjust.

And EVERYONE speaks English; why bother with other such nonsense languages like Japanese, Russian, French, LAKOTA? Why should one expand one's cultural horizons? It's not like other cultures directly affect anything in America, right? Ridiculous.

I just can't find reason in that. It's okay to not like reading by itself - because you're entitled to that. But attached with cultural apathy and what seems like a superiority complex, it's something for which I find offense.

She and the trip have made me extremely exhausted, and I may turn in early.
