Sleeping Pills

Anyone got any information on potential highs with OTC sleeping pills? Preferably with what to avoid chemical wise and what to look for. This isn't for me, so I really don't want to give someone else bad advice ( Read more... )

Most, if not all OTC sleeping pills are Diphenhydramine HCl, which is simply benedryl.

and, imo, Diphenhydramine is bad news. it's a helpful chemical when it's used properly for ailments that it can help with occasionally, but HOLY GOD, other than that..stay away from the crap.

I've been addicted to Diphenhydramine HCI for twelve years now. The recommended dose is 50mg and I would take up to 1000mg a night. It's a strong dissociative and mild hallucinogenic and numbed the pain of loneliness and depression. I've been clean since December.

For short term insomnia you can ask your doctor for Restoril, which is Temazepam I think, and a 15mg capsule will knock you right out.
