Sakito had been dying all day and the reason was simple: she was going to train taido for the first time in four years. She was going to go with Odenetheus, Panda and Estub and in other words she would be the only girl, physically inferior to the others. However, that wasn’t what had been troubling her the most, in fact she was mostly scared about what to wear. She didn’t want to stick out and as she told Panda about her fears he looked at her with wondering eyes.
“I really don’t understand you at times!” he had said but he wasn’t the only one, Sakito herself didn’t understand it. She always turned out like this when she was going to try something new out.
Later, on the bus, she was still dying as Od came to them, wearing blue lipstick and band tied over his nose. And I thought that I was going to stick out, well… at least he WANTS to do it, not I, Sakito had thought.
Estub had joined up with them in Hagsätra, riding the bus with them to Gubbängen where they were going to train.
Taido 18.00 a sign had told them. Scaring Sakito to death, that meant that they had come half an hour too late. Someone had picked them up, however, telling them there was no problem, they just had to hurry a little. Sakito and Od had already changed their clothes. Estub and Panda went to do the same.
It all turned out just fine, sweaty they left the building. Sakito almost flying though she hadn’t released her wings, she didn’t need to.
“That was great!” She said. “I want it to be Monday!” She swirled around, jumped around even as her muscles told her she shouldn’t.
On the busride home all Sakito could talk about was the training, her eyes glittering and a smile plastered on her face, she couldn’t stop thinking about it and how well it had turned out, she wanted to go on but there was one major problem, she needed to convince her dad first…
The snow was falling prettily as Sakito and Panda walked home, both of them tired but happy, talking about the coming summer. Sakito said that she wanted to go to some unknown subway station, walk for a while randomly walk around and randomly taking a bus, going somewhere and then ride it for a while going off, continue walking and do so until she had come to some place she didn’t even know existed. Panda smiled.
“Now, even I want it to become summer!” he exclaimed.
Both of them smiled, feeling that the rays of the sun wasn’t too unwelcome.
