Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time

Not so fast. MCR didn't make Rolling Stone's recently published list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs (songs, not solos RS?) of All Time but they did make the "honorable mentions" list. RS posted a "special online bonus" list of the 25 songs that didn't make the cut and on it was MCR's "Welcome To The Black Parade":

I approve of this mention! My friend's little boy (he's 11) plays metal guitar, loves Metallica and Fall Out Boy, so I sent him a bunch of MCR to check out. She said when he heard that song his eyes just got really wide and still and he said very dramatically "who is he..." LOL. She called me and I said his name is Ray Toro, sweetie. :D

haha, i picked up this magazine and search for mcr, but failed D: at least weezer got on there! and good thing they got an honourable mention too!

"songs" as opposed to "solos" makes total sense based on the other songs on the "honorable mentions" list......most of those don't even really have "solos" per-se but have great driving riffs and such.

regardless, i'm happy toro's seeing some love.

anything interesting make the list in the actual mag?
