Vid disclaimer?

Me and a few friends [along with a teacher at my school] remade the I'm Not Okay vid for our talent show, and I'm wondering, would be okay to put it on youtube, or would we need a disclaimer? We kept most of the video in original format and left in the performance of the song, but rewrote and refilmed most of the the 'if you ever felt' scenes.

I'm sure it will be fine. I make music videos a lot of the time and YouTube never takes them down. Hell, I even made a Brokeback Mountain video before it was released (stolen footage, obv) and it's still up.

Granted, when I made an Eddie Guerrero video to "The Ghost of You", they deleted it. Every time I uploaded it, as a matter of fact.

I say go for it. If people can take the original videos and slice n' dice them to make parodies for them or whatever, and they don't get deleted, I don't see why a remake of a video would be in danger of being taken down. =D

I did a Fall Out Boy music video and put it up months ago - it's still there. Granted, I have a disclaimer in the 'about' section, and has only gotten 11 comments out of around 9,870 views, but Youtube seems to be pretty chill about music videos. Just don't say something like 'yeah my friends and I came up with this last summer we're so cool it's copyright us etc.' and all should be well.
Besides, I want to see it. :D
