This interview link was posted at another MCR site and is causing quite a stir over in the forum. I never saw this interview before so I'm sure most of you here haven't either. The last video is a little heartbreaking to say the least.

All of it is completely and absolutely true, especially about being driven and needing someone to be there in support. Sure, being alone can be a hard situation, but times like that only help make you stronger (or just break you down.) You have to be strong-willed and do just as Gerard mentions, you have to decided if it's going to be the thing to make you seek therapy or if you're just going to move on with your life.
Maybe it's something that comes with age, maturity, or a certain point-of-view, but that's exactly how things are in life. Bad things happen and you have to make a decision to let it get the best of you or to just move on.
I think that kids these days get too stuck in themselves and are looking for sympathy or an excuse. And while there are trials and tribulations, you have to (oh god this is so cliche...) carry on.
Having someone there, be it girlfriend/boyfriend/etc... makes you feel like you aren't so alone. I can only image how odd it would be to stand in front of a crowd of screaming fans every nite, you would definately need someone to ground you. But that's what family and friends are for.

I really don't see why it's so tragic if he stares at a wall. Sure, breakups are hard, but I don't get why everyone seems to think it's such a heartbreaking thing that he's single.

I love that you said that. I've always said "Bad things happen to everyone, you either accept it as part of who you are, or you let it define you."
Basically, same thing. I agree with your entire post and I might have a tiny crush on you now. LOL
