So on Sunday, I went to Gumbaya Park
so that explains why I saw a lot of cocks!! ha ha. The reason I had to get a shot (had it this afternoon :( ) - one of the white cockatoos bit me, drawing blood, after it decided that my scratches/tickles were not frequent enough..... damn demanding parrot thing.
So where to start - I know.... what do you wear or do at gumbaya park? Well you take emo shots, and you wear this.....
How stupid do I look with that expression! Lol.... my hair is a mess to - which is really bad as i bought this new super dooper hair straighener and my boofy hair is now flat - I just had to tie it back at the park for the rides... LOL
So the day started a little late due to issues of people coming/going/ generally just being dilholes. My brothers girlfriend Becky, who I absolutely adore ahd organised it as a way to say congrats on finishing year 12, and a goodbye to Matthew for a month! Their friends were coming, and cancelled last minute unless they could get a ride with Bec, which is impossible as she didnt have much room. She was arranging cars, everyhting, they kept saying yes no, yes no - all this at 2am on the day.
So eventually it was just fuck it - and it became a family thing plus a good friend of matthews named Maxi (hes fun.... they guys call him maxipad, which is just plain wrongtown)
So we arrive later than intended, we collect our thoughts - go and get the armband for unlimited rides (a beautiful lilac today), then go line up for the toboggan thing, It was alright - I was cautious the first time going down as I didnt know the course, then the next time I went down without using the breaks, which resulted in major speed wobbles, and inching closer to getting off the track..... I do have the need for speed.
Mini cars are for kids, so we went on them too - pretty lame, so I made up my own fun by waving at the kids in other cars as I went by and high fiving my mates on the way round.
Go karts were the best, as I just floored em and sent smoke everywhere, like I care kiddies!! Only thing is you need to put on this sexy hair net before the helmet - lice protection I guess. Did them a few times and on the second time I stalled the kart at the beginning after lap one, as the kid in front had stopped to wait to go, and had stalled his, so mine went after having to wait too long. Then I chased him down again, and was caught behind him (No overtaking or fishtailing please)... which was alright as my engine was kinda stuttering - id hit the excelerator for full speed, and it would move slowly, and tapping it didnt make it move either. So we came to the top of the circuit where we had to get the cars in a line for the next kids to go one, the kid in front of me moveed forward then stopped a meter or more away from where he should of - I was following him, had to break suddenly... but no SMACK..... i completely smacked the kids karts, who rammed the kid in front of him too. The guy running it came over to me, I was soo apologetic, but he was just being an arse....

then he walked off.... he nver checked to see if the kids in front were okay, and oogled me for going near em - they were fine and laughing by the way.
So he was cock number one for the day. I had had to press on the accelerator, to get the car to move an inch, it wouldnt move, so i pushed a little harder so it jumped to much instead of inching - easy mistake, and the kid in front breaking suddenly didnt help... easy accident, which I apologised for, made worse but an absolute cock.
So all that and a picnic lunch took us to after 4 when the rides closed. So we went to the wildlife area.... this is where I seen sooo many cocks!! Lol.
Emus came first.
I kept singing them the emo emu song... not so good! Lol.... thankfully we were seperated from them... they were getting a little headbutty!!
Next came the kangaroos. Now, Ive seen kangaroos many a time before, but everytime I go near one, they hiss at me, and i cant get close. So i was a little unnerved about being so close to these ones without protection. But these guys were awesome and I got some great shots with them.

They dont like you taking pictures close to them unless you had food - I noticed trying to get the emo shot with them!! Ha ha. There was one kangaroonthat I kept chasing and got this shot with...
it had been being irritated.... then I saw this
I had been chasing a male kangaroo with his own festive jingle bells.... I ran away to the birds then.
This little one was cute - hello cockhead!! lol.... someone taught him wrong... he also said goodbye and whats your name!
Then came the cockatoos
Most were sleeping or just standing there, so i got this shot of one
Then I went round the other side of the cage and found some talkative ones..... one was screaming an alarm bell (this was the bastard that eventuall bit me) as it was the time of day it was normally played. So he was causing a racket, but then calmed down as his mate, who constantly screamed "mama", came over (i aksed this cockatoo what his fave my chem song was - apparently its mama"
So the loud one was letting people tickle its belly, and then demanding one on its head (it presents its head to you and lets you tickle it, it moves its head to where it wants scratched) so i did this for a few minutes, then i stopped... so it bit me

yup... in front of kiddies too!!
So i had my cut cleaned, and wrapped up.... next day (today) had a tetenus booster... doc gave me a baby needle, and i didnt feel it!! Hes my new fave now
Lasty we went into the aviary - which wasnt exciting until, I realised that for all the female peacocks theres, there was a male.... he was just being bashful....... so we all chased him out
So after a long day (and a long journal entry - sorry) we went home, ate dominos pizza and chips, then slacked off! So my last sunday in australia for 2006, was full of cocks, got me bitten, and got me a needle the next day!! LOL
