Holy shit, it's been almost 6 months?!
I could blame tumblr, but I kind of neglected my tumblr page for awhile too. Blergh. Real life came crashing in like a bull in a china shop, and I kind of quit fangirling - and writing, sorry, Sherlock WIP I started months ago! - for awhile there. So...here's some updates, good and bad, if anyone is still interested!
1) My dad is an ass. The biggest of asses. He and my mom split up after 35 years of marriage - because he's an ass - and she hasn't been taking it well. Sometimes I wish I still lived at home, just so I could hug her every day :-/
2) My beautiful black lab, Molly, died at the ripe old age of 15. It was really hard - she's been in my family since she was just a teeny puppy - but on the other hand, she led a good, long, life, and she went when she was ready to go (we didn't have to put her down). I miss her a lot, but I'm glad she's not wracked with arthritis pain anymore.
3) I got a dog of my very own! I finally moved into an apartment that allowed pets, and I snatched up an adorable little dachsund/husky (yup, you read that right) mix from a no-kill shelter. She's five, and she is my baby :-)
4) My job is still going really well! I've been there six months now, and should actually be up for a promotion (which includes a raise) soon. I never thought I'd like an 8-5 job, but I really appreciate the routine right now, and the people I work with are awesome.
5) I've started writing again! I wrote a short, smutty one-shot (RPF, I'm ashamed *blush*) and now I have all of these ideas. First up is definitely to finish Deduce, Seduce, Repeat, since that's been sitting around for ages now. Then who knows ;-)
