Who moved my cheese?

Last sunday, I bought several books in Powerbooks. Not because of anything but I guess I just wanted to do something more productive during the evenings :)

Anyway the titles I bought are "The Little Prince", "Who Moved My Cheese?" and "The Fundamentals of Marketing in the Philippine Setting". I finished the first two which were easy reads. Both were nice but I had to share what I learned from "Who moved my Cheese?". Its a book about how to deal with change. It uses a parable to explain concepts that we often find hard to apply in our lives because we think we have already tried it. I think the book will be very useful for people who have a hard time dealing with change in their lives. The learnings can be applied to most situations. Of course, it will not help everyone especially people who are hard-headed and think they know everything. One of my favorite learnings there is "What will you do if you are not afraid?".

The other week, I read another book. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I did not know that it was quite a popular book but I liked the story very much that I finished reading it in one sitting. The book is inspirational. It talks about a journey and the main theme of the book is "when you truly want something, the universe will conspire for you to have it".

Well, I guess I should look for other books to read :)
