This weekend was a bit crazy for me. It felt like I was still in school with the way I was running around. I came up to Columbia on Friday because of my friend's niece. She was graduating from high school. They have been like a second family to me, so when Kris told me about her graduation, I made plans to be there. But since it was on the weekend of my birthday I had to make the trip quick, so I could spend Saturday with my twin.
So I drive up Friday morning and make it in time for Kris's graduation. It was a wonderful ceremony and she shined like a star. LOL Anyways I think she had the biggest group, there was at least 20 of us there to see her. All of it family with the exception of me, who is family just not through blood ties.
After spending Friday in Columbia, I have to get up semi early to make the trip back. I meet Char and we had breakfast before I left for home. I ended back home by 3:00, in time for dinner with my mom. My twin came over later and we played video games. It was decided earlier that we would have the actual celebration on Sunday, since he was working and I was coming back home. My older brother also had the day off.
Sunday roles around and my mom and I head for Savannah. She still hadn't bought me anything. We go to the stores she knows I like then I tell her the things I'm interested in. While I make myself scarce, she finishes the shopping. Oh, we also made a stop in Kay's for my graduation ring. I finally will have it in a week due to sizing changes. Horray!! Around 8pm the boys come over and we open the presents. Normally we get anime or video games, which doesn't change much from year to year. One difference is the graduation present I get from my bro and Aimee. Two of her pictures she drew. Both of them involve anime characters in compromising conditions. Yes, I have my own yaoi fan art. YAY!!! LOL I did enjoy Aimee's company, which is a rarity. We ended up watching a movie afterwards before everyone headed out.
All I can say for my busy weekend is, at least I was able to spend the last 24 birthdays with my twin. We haven't missed one yet.
