Wow, is my computer messed up?
Hey All,
Its been awhile... a long while. The sad thing is I don't know if I have a good excuse as to why I haven't posted in so long. I seemed to have missed Feb. completely. So what have I been up to? Well that's a loaded question. I have been through about a month and a half almost two months of planning for the AIChE conference that is hosted at my university. That has taken most of my time...but it should be a great conference. We have already over 300 people signed up to attend the event. That doesn't include my school (LOL) The competitions we have at the conference are full, with 14 teams for the chem-e car, 25 participants for the paper competition and about 5 or 6 with the poster competition. We allowed for the poster comp. to extend its deadline. (LOL) Anyways the conference is scheduled for the last weekend of March. (Its almost here) I spent the first three days of the spring break working on conference planning. So I'm taking the rest of the week and heading home.
I spent a good amount of time interviewing with companies for a job outside of school. I had three on site interviews with SRS, 3V, and Milliken. I like all three companies, but only one made me an offer. I had two weeks for my deadline, and the other two companies were still in the process of other interviews. I could not get an extension on my first offer so I took it. I know, I probably should have held out. But I got lucky and my first offer was the job I wanted. Personally, I can't let that opportunity slip away. So I am now a proud employee for SRS. Now with that decision out of the way, I can focus on my classes and working with the conference planning.
Maybe my next post won't be so long in coming. LOL ^_^
