anybody else heard this?
So I have this friend who I like to go out with sometimes who I consider a fairly reliable source for music information. We were out last night and were chatting about various issues and at one point I think he told me that Snow Patrol and Death Cab for Cutie are actually the same band. I thought this sounded fairly unbelieveable and questioned him further and he stuck to his story for awhile, but eventually relented only that maybe they weren't exactly the same band, but they definately had some common members. About this, I have three possible theories:
1. This is either true or a popluarly circulating rumor and I've just never heard it. This is entirely possible because it's not like I keep up that well.
2. He didn't actually tell me this. I had consumed a significant amount of wine at this point in the evening and alcohol shortens my already tenuous attention span, listening ability, and reasoning skills.
3. He flat out made this up, knowing that I would repeat it to other people (which, I clearly now have), and that this would be entertaining to him somehow. I wouldn't really put this past him, and I know he finds tricking people amusing (as do I).
