(no subject)
UW had free parking today! Nice little surprise! ^_^
Headed down there to drop of the first check from my scholarship. Then tried for the second time to use the scanners at Odegaard Library (the first time being yesterday, but they were closed). The library itself was open this time, but the computing center was closed. Luckily, the computing center at Mary Gates Hall was open, and they had a few scanners, so I accomplished another task (I'm actually sitting here right now).
Finally wrote some e-mails to some people that I'd been putting off for a while now. Still have some to go though, but I'd left some necessary supplies at home, so I guess I'll have to leave that for later.
*sigh* And I seem to have found myself short on cash a few days before pay day again. And, as usual, now everyone wants to do things involving money. Urg. Oh well, soon everyone will be gone, which will force me to reduce my spending (on social activities anyway. Shopping can still pull a sneak attack). Ashley's gone to Philly. Devon's often away with Jacob (and is headed off to Michigan at some point too), aznmoocow, sim324, Hanna, Mary, and Brady are off to NY. Kara's in California.
Hmmn, now I'd addressed the awkwardness a while back with Kara, but things recently have taken a further improvement. I'm kinda glad about that (now it's not just mild pleasantries, but actual interaction). Admittedly though, the sudden closeness between Mike and Luke does bother me a touch. They are practically inseprable this summer (which last summer was something Mike and I had been). Of course, they do share many more interests than Mike and I do, so it's a good match. I suppose it just bugs me that it's yet another situation where a friendship has started all hot and heavy (the "honeymoon" period), then quickly fizzled to nothing.
