Does anyone read LJ anymore? I've been distracted away from this lovely place by Facebook,Twitter and a general lack of Internet in my apartment. I was reading my last post and about how I had just discovered the Twilight series. this was before the Hysteria of started. And how much I have changed since. I still love the series but love more what it did for me. I am a reader, not as avid as one as I'd like to be, but a girl's gotta eat, Sleep and work. Thankfully, I have a job which allows me to do quite a bit of reading.
Just as Harry Potter did for me after high school, Twilight opened my eyes again to the world of books and new worlds of imagination. Since finishing Eclipse in April 2008, i have read close to 100 books that i would have previously never been interested in. I discovered so many different world of Vampire, Werewolves, and other worlds of make-believe. Of course, I have gone back to the Harry Potters and Twilights (especially in Audio-book form,) but I'm enjoying all the new stories and the movies they inspire.
I suppose beyond the books and movies I have maintained a fairly mundane lifestyle. No big changes in my life. I kind of like it that way. Its nice to depend on my normality. It makes the books I read and movies I see all that more adventurous. It's easier to delve into a complete world of make-believe than to try to mold my world into something it never shall be.
