I have girlie hands again!!!
~ allow me to be more descriptive: For Christmas Mom gave me a gift card to our Nail lady, shawn. I used to have my nails done years ago- french tips and all. But alas the call of the wild got the better of me (aka I went to work on a dude ranch.) and washing dishes doesn't do much for the manicure. And so My hand s for some time now have looked like little 7th grade girl hands. I have small hads with short fingers- Not uncommonly short- just not very long and femine.
Shawn has been doing my mom's nails for years. and so it was nice to go in and have my done for a change. It was great feeling so pampered. She also gave my hair a good trim which was long over do. My hair is now surpassing my mid-back area. I'm so excited. Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted my hair as long as my Aunt Monta's. Now my hair has finally gotten to that point. I've had thoughts of cutting it off and donating the hair to Lock's for Love. But I'm just not quite ready yet. I think I'll wait out the spring and see how I feel come summer. If it's as hot as last year's, I think I might be giving LFL a call. we'll see.
I just wanted to let everyone out there n my friends list know that thank you all for your posting. I only really check the internet about once a week and I always get so excited to check out how everyone is doing. I know I don't post as often as I'd like to, but I mostly feel there's nothing too much for me to say. The days tend to run together and it's just more of the same. I guess that's the way life goes. It's not meant to be one grand adventure after another. It's more for those little moments that make you stop and think this is great. This moment right now is exactly what I need.
