I am at my apartment by myself at the moment because Tim is at LC Regional Airport for his interview the ERA helicopter people. While I ask you all to cross your fingers and pray for him, this is not the point of my post.
I have discovered a beeping noise that goes off once every 2 minutes or so, and I have not been able to figure out what the H it is. After walking my apartment, I have figured out that it is my smoke fire alarm thingy. Normally, I would make Tim see about it, but as I said I am by myself, and the noise is really really really irritating. So I get my little step ladder thing and go investigate it.
After taking 5 minutes to even figure out how to take it apart to look at it, and having the stupid machine beep loudly in my face about 10 times, I finally came to the conclusion that the battery is low. However, I have no idea where the batteries are or how to change them. I just want to turn the damn thing off, but evidently fire alarms do not come with an "off" button. So I decided to just give up my mission and wait until Tim comes home, so he can fix it because I am freaking helpless and pathetic. So I go to attach the thing back to the wall, and as it turns out, I have no idea how to get the flippin thing back onto its base.
SO
Now I have a fire alarm hanging by its wires off of the wall, just dangling there waiting for a short, so that it can catch on fire giving me a terribly potentially ironic story seeing as how it is a FIRE.ALARM.
And it is still.beeping.
