Helpless in Seattle
Greetings from Seattle, WA!
I am currently laid up on loveseat with ice on my knee? Why? Because people like me seriously need not ski, lest they want to kill themselves.
Oh, now don't panic. I'm fine. We went skiing yesterday and after about falling 10 times, I finally twisted my right knee quite incorrectly. Then I proceeded to scream and hyperventilate b/c it hurt really really really bad, AND I was certain that I tore my ACL b/c there was a huge POP and of course a lot of pain.
The good news: I really don't think I tore a ligament b/c there is hardly any swelling and I have full range of motion in my leg. I think it is just a sprain. Still hurts a bit though. I am keeping ice on it and limping around, and of course Tim is waiting on me hand and foot which makes me feel guilty b/c I wasn't here to take care of him with his wisdom teeth last week. :(
The better news: I got to ride down the rest of the mountain on a tobaggan pulled by 2 paramedics on Ski Patrol. w00t! The guy that showed up first had a camera with him and took a couple of pictures for "the wedding album." He got Tim's email address to send him the pictures. I'll try to post them as soon as I get them even though I look like a retarted burrito type person. Hilarity, you just have no idea.
The BEST news: I'm getting an ipod for my birthday! *happy dance*
So none of you need worry. I will live and will surely tell about it. Tim is in class now so I'm gonna go have me some quality time with Elizabethtown. (<3)
