i am spending my valentine's day very un-romantically this year: getting my passport photo, driving boo to joann fabrics to get the yarn to make a chowder hat, then putting in grades for the whole school. ugh who makes grades due on a holiday? especially since we don't even have school tomorrow.

so here's my pseudo-valentine's day gift to my flist: 16 of my favorite songs from the magnetic fields' "69 love songs" album trilogy. these albums are so nostalgic for me; i was first introduced to the magnetic fields by my drawing II teacher (who was a crazy hipster grad student) at niu. she used to play 69 love songs 1 and 2 or johnny cash's greatest hits to get us in a drawing mood. kind of weird, but somehow it worked for me.
