I love synthethizers, specially the ones used in the 1980's. One in particular is Fairlight CMI. The company was established by Peter Vogel in 1979 and even he has an official YouTube account with oldie vids from Fairlight CMI and CVI It used an interface called Page-R, which could display several menus and enter to functions which include musical scores, a sound library and waveform drawing with an optical pen.

Several songs were made from Fairlight, including Miami Vice theme.

The new version has modern technology, which they changed floppy disk units for CD and a screen that they could use the vintage interface.

But... why I post this?
Because in my Peñarol's AU, called "Ele Al Cuadrado", a couple of songs were recorded in this instrument. According to the fic is the only Fairlight avaliable in Southamerica, because is stored at the Fine Arts School, specifically in the University College of Music, located in Barrio Cordón.
