So, other stuff that's been happening. We went Easter weekend here with Steve. Saturday was, as predicted, a lazy day of beer and telly. Sunday we went to the Easter shoot at the rifle range, which was good fun - there was a father and son there who thought they were the bees knees, and i was teamed with the father for the Polo shoot, where you're in teams of two and you shoot at the same time, at a card with 5 targets on it, with polos glued onto them. I shot four of the five Polos on our card and he was more than a little miffed!! Home for roast pork and snoozing in front of the telly. Monday we all went to Castle Combe for a day of motor racing. Now I've always loved motorsports and went a few times with mog, before the kids came along, and then to the Gp a few years, but U wasn't interested and I haven't been since. Steve has reawakened my interest and I had a great day, pootling round the paddock looking at the cars and watching the races. kKae enjoyed it too, but Dan was bored - thank goodness we had my DS with us! We went in Steve's car and were "spotted" by one of his chums on the Fiat Coupe Owners forum, who posted a pic of us - if you look close you'll see Steve in front and Dan peering out of the back window!
Tuesday I was meant to be getting abck to work but a friend from facebook called and was going to be in the area, so Dan and I met her at a local country park and he swam and dinghied with her kids in the lake, while she and I caught up on chat.
The rest of the week was work work work and then the kids went to mog's at the weekend, which meant I spent the weekend with Steve, who of course pampered me and cooked for me - mussels this time, only had them once before and thought they tasted like cat pee but these were lovely.
This week has been very busy working on the magazine but it's all done now, and i took the day off today to get the garden tidied. Am very proud of myself as I've cut the front and back lawn, weeded, cut back the bushes and planted a load of summer bulbs. looks much smarter now!
