It's great to see new gen fic! This is an interesting idea... an AU where in some ways their childhood was even worse than in canon! But as long as the boys are together, everything will be okay!

This is a particularly good time for us tor reflect on that, as we move out of season 4 and into season 5. So I'm glad you posted it now!

Thank you so much for your comments. I didn't even think about timing, but I am definitely hoping that in S5, the boys are more together, less apart.

While I have been known to kill characters before, I am not sure I could ever do that to either Sam or Dean.

I figured that even if something catastrophic were to happen to Sam, there is nothing that could convince Dean to abandon him. Hence my exploring this idea.
