So it seems basically official that Joe Cole, Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti will be joining Deco and leaving Chelsea as free transfers. WTF???
1. Joe Cole...The whole thing is a disgrace. We could have got good money for him, or kept him, but no, Roman had to get on his high horse about wages. Joe Cole was no better, letting his agent do his bidding after Chelsea stuck by him during his extended injury. It also shows how out of touch with the players and the owners Ancelotti is, as a month or so ago he was saying he was 100% certain that Joe would be staying!
2. Ballack...Not a big fan, but he offered to drop to a 1 + 1 contract, ie. it being renewed based on performance and take a pay cut, but no, we decided it was better to let him go free.
3. Belletti...Not sure on this, he could be useful, but not the craziest thing the club has done given the above.
