So according to media reports Anelka is set to sign a 2 year contract to stay at Chelsea. The same article suggests that Ballack (German club Schalke) and Joe Cole (Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool) are set to leave the club.
I would rather keep Joe Cole and let Ballack and Anelka go.

In other chatter former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes the Blues should sign one of Sergio Aguero and David Villa along with French international Franck Ribery to complement their existing side for next season.
It has also been suggested/rumoured that we may offer up to 70 million pounds for Torres in an attempt to blow Manchester City's bid out of the water. I'm not sure that this will be the case, as Torres' on going bursitis problem has devalued him. Also, as much as Liverpool need the funds their team would be severely "devalued" were he to go, especially if the Gerrard leaving rumours are also true. I don't see them selling him in an attempt to reduce debt unless there is a very good offer out there, which I don't believe will come from us.
