We are far better than Liverpool, trouble is we know it! I wish our last 2 matches were against United and Arsenal, as then I'd believe we would do it, as we have a better mental approach. I read Ngog and Kuyt may miss out on Thursday due to injury, though I doubt they will still be injured by Sunday. A bad penalty/free kick decision, a goal down and we are knackered.
The 2005 boys had a better mental attitude. They were out-egoed to put it bluntly. You either out-ego them, or make them love you (as was the case under Guus). We are up ourselves as a result of 7-0 and I doubt we see the current Liverpool as a threat. I should be excited at this time of the year with this finish, frankly I just want it over.
Sunderland don't stand a snow flake's chance in Hell. United are undermanned, under-talented, but they have the attitude, as shown by their injury time point grabbers throughout the season. They are still playing as they walk down the tunnel.
