So ahead of our season defining match against Manchester United, Carlo Ancelotti has come out and said we must be wary of a Rooneyless United. The full article is here.

In the article he also says that while a win would be great, a draw wouldn't be too bad either. Frankly I wish this was the case. I feel that 3 points here are imperative for us to have any real hope of winning the title and anything less will leave us waiting for the footballing gods to smile upon us, which is something that doesn't happen in West London.

We hold the season in our hands. We have a mixed bag in the last few games, as do United. The Liverpool game for us will be a big one, especially with Torres' return to form, as I can see him running rings around our defence. United face Manchester City and the City supporters I have spoken to assure me that United won't take 3 points from them, but I am not so sure. Arsenal have again been wracked with injuries, with Arshavin out for 3 weeks and Princess Fabregas ruled out for the season just an hour or so ago. I think these injuries may just close the door on their title hopes this year, though anything can and usually does happen.

Drogba is set to play this weekend, having overcome a groin niggle during the week which caused him to miss training. I'm hoping he will start, as psychologically we need to destroy United early and keep going, not just sit back from there.

My research suggests Mike Dean will be the referee.

As I have said before, where we finish this year depends on mental attitude.

C'mon lads!

prediction, premier league, ancelotti is not right for us!, injuries, pre match
